ACCADEMIA COSTUME & MODA

Accademia Costume e Moda provides study courses legally recognized by the Ministry of Education and Merit (MIM) and falls within the sector of Higher Artistic, Musical and Dance Training (AFAM). The Academy's goal is to train its students on a cultural, design and laboratory level and to introduce them into the world of work, helping them to mature and to recognize and consolidate their creative identity.

The Academy issues titles equivalent to internationally recognized first level degrees and first level masters, and attendance certificates for post-graduate professional courses, intensive courses and summer schools.

Experimentation and culture, combined with design and craftsmanship, are our driving force in providing the Fashion System and the Entertainment Industry with professionals who are able to respond to the needs of companies. In more than 50 years of activity, the Academy has trained many professionals who work in the world of fashion and costume, cinema, theater and opera.

Among our former students there are creatives and professionals such as Alessandro Michele for Gucci, Aldo Maria Camillo, Sergio Ciucci, Frida Giannini, Giuseppe De Gennaro, Marco Mastroianni. Some become entrepreneurs successfully developing their lines such as Maurizio Galante, Tommaso Aquilano, Albino D'Amato, Marella Ferrera, Bruno Simeone. Others are Head Designers or Line Managers for large companies such as Valentino, Fendi, Armani, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Didier Parakian, Alexander Mc Queen.

Many Senior Designers who work for the fashion system in Italy and abroad for companies such as Max Mara, Givenchy, Dolce and Gabbana, Ferragamo, etc. In the show, Academy Awards such as Manlio Rocchetti ("A Spasso con Daisy") and nominated for the BAFTA Awards for "Gangs of New York", and leading costume designers such as Francesca Sartori and Gianna Gissi, both winners more than a David di Donatello, Stefano Canulli (Illustrator, Costume Designer of Cirque du Soleil and close collaborator of Thierry Mugler on many projects), stylists who have collaborated with celebrities such as Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez as Vrettos Vrettakos, and many others.
