The Certification Office of the Roma Tre University is a certifying body of the Italian language recognized by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, University and Research. The structure deals with the design, implementation, administration and evaluation of the certification tests of Italian as a foreign language (L2).
The Office develops five examination systems relating to five levels of competence identified by the Council of Europe in the Common European Framework of Reference. The systems are adequate to the relative level of competence of the CEFR and propose situations of use of Italian that are authentic. Based on the outcome of the tests taken by the candidates the Certification Office issues the relevant certificates of competence in Italian as a foreign language (L2).
